DevOps Linux engineer for a Scientific Organization in Rehovot

Responsibilities:

• Planning and operation of hybrid cloud service systems
• Programming and development of cross-organizational infrastructure systems in the field of HPC
• Automation of public cloud infrastructures
• Integration of advanced machine learning/deep learning tools
• Improvements and identification of bottlenecks in applications
• Support for researchers and scientists at the institute

Requirements:

• Proven experience in analyzing system performance problems, performance tests of single machines and clusters, and performance analysis of GPU jobs
• Knowledge and proven experience in writing automation scripts, including automatic installations, deployment of security/operating system updates, and monitoring tools (Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible) - Mandatory
• Proven experience in working with public cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP - Mandatory
• Experience with containers - experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD in complex distributed systems
• Required knowledge in the operation of storage systems with an emphasis on parallel storage systems - GPFS, Luster, OrangeFS, BeeGFS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in information systems or another relevant field is a significant advantage
• Good English - Mandatory
