Director of Marketing (Portfolio Opportunity)

A seed-stage company in our portfolio - developing infrastructure technology in the AI space - is looking for an experienced B2B marketing leader to work closely with our CEO on developing and implementing GTM strategy. As the first marketing hire on the team, you'll have the opportunity to get in on the ground level and build a marketing org in an incredibly exciting technological space.

In this role, you will:

• Take a hands-on, ground-up approach to building a brand new marketing organization.
• Develop the storytelling, brand positioning, and messaging of a cutting-edge product in a quickly developing technological space.
• Work closely with the CEO and other company leadership to craft and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy, with a focus on demand-generation activities.
• Implement and scale initial marketing infrastructure.
• Constantly hypothesize and experiment to refine the company's ICP and growth strategy.
• Find and manage vendors to maximize your impact.
• Over time, build a world-class team.

For this role, you must have:

• At least 5 years of experience in marketing and marketing leadership roles in hi-tech startups, including at early-stage companies.
• Experience as a people manager.
• Experience marketing new and highly technical products.
• A deep understanding of the data & AI space.
• A strong background in a range of demand generation activities (beyond PPC)
• Hands-on experience in product marketing
• Track record of excellent partnership with sales organizations.

• You've managed SDR/BDR teams in the past
• You have a technical background (data engineer, software engineer, etc.)
