Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy IT Support Intern to join our team on a part-time, 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to gain practical experience in IT support within a professional environment. As an IT Support Intern, you will assist with a variety of technical tasks, support our internal teams, and help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
Respond to support tickets and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
Perform regular system updates and maintenance tasks.
Support the IT team in various projects and initiatives.
Document and log support activities, maintaining accurate records of issues and solutions.
Assist with the setup and management of user accounts and access controls.
Provide support for office technology, including printers, scanners, and other equipment.
Conduct basic network troubleshooting and support.
Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT fundamentals.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Availability to work [number of hours, e.g., "10-20 hours per week"].
Must be able to work in the Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
Experience with Google Workspace administration.
Experience with Video Conference Equipment (Zoom Rooms, Google Meets etc)
Experience with Okta or other identity and access management systems.
Experience using MDM systems
Familiarity with network protocols and configurations.
Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role.
Knowledge of basic scripting and automation tools.
Fluent in English
