Data Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Data Operations Manager to lead the development and execution of our data infrastructure and BI products. The Data Operations Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for orchestrating the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex data-driven projects. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to manage projects that leverage data to drive innovation and efficiency across various operational domains. The Data Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, BI, engineering and business, to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals and deliver tangible value.

This role is pivotal in driving the short and long-term vision of our data capabilities, ensuring that our projects not only meet but exceed operational excellence and innovation benchmarks

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development and execution of the data project lifecycle, from conception through deployment, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Drive the development of the organization's data infrastructure and BI products, ensuring they support both short-term and long-term business goals.
• Manage sprints, planning sessions, and retrospectives, and ensuring data members are effectively engaged.
• Engage with departments across the company to gather requirements and seamlessly integrate data initiatives.
• Actively manage multiple data projects of varying sizes and complexities, transforming business needs and ideas into operational systems and tools.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, and resource plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, and communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing any concerns.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management or Project Management, with a focus on data-related products and projects.
• Advanced understanding of data analytics, including statistics, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data modeling is a significant advantage
• Demonstrated experience working closely with Data Science teams and building scalable data infrastructure products.
• Strong understanding of data processes, and a technical background in data/software development.
• Experience managing projects that span multiple teams and possess a data-driven and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage conflicts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, persuading and influencing decision-making processes.
