Biomedical / Clinical Data Scientist

QuantHealth is a rapidly growing company specializing in the development of a cutting-edge platform for simulating clinical trials using big clinical data and state-of-the-art AI technologies. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies for de-risking the drug and clinical development process. We are currently seeking a talented Clinical Data Scientist to help drive scientific leadership and customer delivery in the company.

As a clinical data scientist, you will play a central role in the design of our AI platform and customer delivery process. This is a mixed role, in which you will at times, support R&D developments for our clinical simulations and prediction capabilities, while at other times you will support customer projects and deliverables that leverage these capabilities. The ideal candidate brings several years of practical data science experience in a clinical/biomedical setting, which includes research and development of predictive algorithms and data pipelines, leveraging a variety of clinical data sources including but not limited to- EHR, genomics, pathology, and mining of medical literature.

Requirements

· MPH or MSc/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or other STEM field that combines biology and computer science. BSc will be considered with relevant research experience.

· Fluency in the data science process: EDA, model development, feature engineering & and model interpretation.

· Coding knowledge and experience (at least 2+ years) conducting data analysis and building data pipelines in Python.

· Experience in data-driven analytics in one or more clinical areas: bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, pathology, pharmacology, epidemiology, oncology, and immunology.

Nice-to-Have Qualities

· Experience working with big data (especially using Spark).

· Coding knowledge and experience conducting data analysis in R / SQL.

· Strong statistical background/understanding.

Objectives & Responsibilities

· Develop custom features, data pipelines, and clinical algorithms for our AI platform.

· Conduct research and analytics for top pharma companies leveraging >300 million patient records.

· Guide and support our AI team in the development and validation of our clinical trial simulation models.
