Backend Python Team Leader

Mobileye is looking for a leader to join a team that is building a state-of-the-art Data Platform.

The autonomous vehicle projects are generating huge amounts of data, and our challenge is to enable it for usage by the entire organization (Deep Learning/Machine Learning developers, Product Managers, Analysts, and more).

We are using a top-notch tech stack to solve problems – multiple databases, big data and web frameworks, AWS infrastructure on a large scale, and many more.

What will your job look like:

• Managerial:
• Set objectives and goals over multiple strategic projects.
• Planning sprints and roadmaps, allocating resources, identifying risks and bottlenecks.
• Foster the team’s culture, promote collaborations, and provide mentorship to and support to team members.
• Work closely with product managers and other R&D team to define new features and capabilities.
• Technical:
• Work on a large-scale system from its early stages and watch it evolve.
• Take part in the design & development of a multi-service cloud-based big data platform.
• Evaluate various optional technologies and lead decision-making.
• Collaborate with other R&D teams and Product manager to define new features.
• At least 50% hands on – developing code and conducting CRs.
• Staying updated with the latest technologies, methodologies, and industry trends, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree
• 4+ years of software development experience
• Strong skills in Python
• Experience in developing backend services with known frameworks (Django, Flask, or any similar one)
• Experience with databases (relational and schema-less), cache and efficient data modeling
• Experience with containerized services
  
  

• Previous experience as a manager or in a position involving leadership
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with one of the following solutions: Spark, Presto, Trino, Athena or Drill
