WEB 3.0 Security Engineering Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Development Lead to join Check Point and launch a brand-new Web 3.0 security development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the technological success and innovation of a new product line that will revolutionize the rapidly evolving blockchain security products and services industry.

The Challenge: In 2023, the Web3 sector experienced over $1.2 billion in losses due to security breaches, underscoring the urgent need for innovative security solutions in this rapidly evolving domain. As the Development Lead, you will address these critical challenges in a sector where profound security solutions are yet to be established. Leveraging Check Point's strong client base in the financial sector and working with our world-leading research team, you will utilize AI, LLMs, and our Threat Cloud to develop ground-breaking security solutions. This role offers a chance to significantly shape the Web3 security landscape and position Check Point as a leader in this vital and evolving field.

More about the role: As the Dev Lead, you will spearhead the development efforts, working in close collaboration with the head of Web3 Security, CTO of Web3.0 Security, and will get exposure to senior leadership at Check Point. This is a unique opportunity akin to launching a start-up within Check Point (acting as a “VP Engineering” of the new team).

Major Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Ownership of all technical aspects of the new products from ideation to sleek product delivery, Strategic understanding of emerging Web3 and cybersecurity technologies and trends
• Team Management and Development: build, manage, and mentor a high-performing development team
• Research Innovation: Work alongside the excellent Check Point Web3.0 Research team to incorporate cutting-edge Web3 security technologies, methods, and tools into category-defining security products.

Desired Background

Must:

• Technical Skills: At least 4 years of experience in web development: Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, and modern JS frameworks (React), Strong understanding and experience with backend technologies, including server-side scripting languages (e.g., Node.js, Python).
• Education and Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Leadership Skills: Significant experience leading and managing development teams in a fast-paced environment of at least 2 years.

Advantages:

• 2+ years in blockchain research and development. In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized systems. And/or
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity research and development.
