Director of International Division for Donor Relations & Resource Development

Job Description:

Head of the international division for donor relations & resource development is a senior position and an integral part of the Sheba Medical Center management.

Will administratively and professionally answer to VP International Division and carry full responsibility for international resource development.

Will advise VP International Division on all matters pertaining to the world of philanthropy and resource development and assume responsibility for carrying out the planned agenda.

Will carry the professional responsibility for actuating, supervising and overseeing the Friends of Sheba offices around the world.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Formulate a strategic plan for overall development, and resource development, of all Friends of Sheba hubs worldwide and supervise its implementation. 
• Formulate both an annual work plan and a multiyear work plan and ensure its implementation.
• Coordinate activities with the Israeli Friends of Sheba office. 
• Develop and ensure retention of strategic donor relationships.
• Develop and manage working relationships with the Jewish Federations, AIPAC, Israel Bonds, and philanthropic foundations both in Israel and abroad.

Required skills:

• Languages:

o English and Hebrew: Mother Tongue level command of the languages.

o French, German, Spanish – an advantage.

• Natural curiosity and quick learner.

• The capacity to create a community; a coalition, focused around a common theme.

• Be a good storyteller.

Required Capabilities:

• Willingness for extensive travel abroad.

• Willingness to work flexible hours throughout the day. 

• Proven ability and acumen in managing a multidisciplinary team of workers. 

• Proven ability in developing and managing resources of $50M and upward in an international organization.

• Managing an Israeli team as well as overseeing the Friends of Sheba offices worldwide.
