We are hiring a Salary & Payments Section Manager

Main Purpose of the Role

Managing all aspects of salary, payments & retirement section

Major areas of responsibility

 Retirement

• Managing all aspects of the seaman’s retirement- calculation of compensations & benefits, 161 form, issuing certificates to the funds, training and guidance the retiring employee during the retirement process
• Calculating retirement costs
• Issuing certificates to pensioners / early retirees (for pension funds, national insurance, employment certificate)
• Working with pension funds regarding retirement issues of seaman, pensioners & next of kind.
  
  

• Managing the actuary- preparation of reports & data analysis
• Manage & prepare data reports of eligibility for “Shufersal” vouchers
• Preparing reports according to demand (acc. Department, crew etc.)
  
  

• Monitoring the seaman’s health, life and dental insurance and premium updates
• Calculating final accounts to seaman.
• Entering payments & deductions for Israeli and foreign seaman
• Issuing allotments
• Provide data regarding working periods and salary payments in cases of claims against the Company or in claims which the Company has been sued by ex-employees
• Managing foreclosure orders against seaman
• Guiding new Israeli seaman regarding salary issues & updating these new employees in salary system
• Training new Captain’s on ship cash system
• Monitor & update tax exemption of international journey days
• Open and update bank accounts
• Issuing & confirming “cash to master” requests in Israel and abroad
  
  

• Salary, payments & tax monitoring before closing the monthly salary and performing the salary closing
• Yearly controls - 101, 106 forms
• Approve invoices in WF to suppliers & institutes
  
  

• Implementing salary agreements & legislation updates in the salary system
• Ongoing contact with the pension & funds agency regarding: monthly interfaces, handling feedbacks and incorrect records , handling with new employees etc.
  
  

• Updating position & rank to Israeli seaman’s salary
• Quarterly reports to national insurance: leave of absence, early retirement and cadets
• Managing work accidents & illnesses with national insurance
• Customer service regarding all salary issues (to Israeli/foreigner/pensioners/agencies)
  
  

• Relevant education- Bookkeeper Type 3
• Senior Payroll Accountant certification- must
• At least 3 years’ experience in salary & retirement issue
• Experience with SAP- a must
• Good MS office skills (Excel, Power Point, Word)
• High English level- including presentation & correspondence skills
• Ability to work under pressure
