Zesty, a forward-thinking cloud optimization startup, is seeking a seasoned professional and experienced leader to lead our cloud engineering group as the Cloud Engineering group lead. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of our cloud infrastructure, encompassing DevOps, QA, security, and FinOps. Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Leadership:
• Define and execute the strategic vision for Zesty's cloud infrastructure, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing cloud engineering team, overseeing DevOps, QA, Security, and FinOps functions.
• DevOps:
• Establish and optimize end-to-end DevOps processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software while giving great service to our software developers.
• Oversee DevOps strategies in areas of Lambdas and K8s envs, Developer experience, monitoring and alerting etc…
• Security:
• Oversee Security strategies - partner with our CISO, and provide a plan for environments and software development security coverage and tools
• Make sure that DevSecOps needs are being executed.
• Quality:
• Oversee Zesty’s production environment performance and quality, making sure that all our quality strategies from automation and manual QA, monitoring, alerting and SRE practices are playing together smoothly to ensure highest SLA possible.
• Lead our Automation and manual QA teams to maintain the right quality impact
• FinOps:
• Oversee FinOps strategy - Drive FinOps initiatives, Implement cost management strategies and enhance financial accountability work with our developers to make sure we “eat our own dog food”.

Qualifications:

• Cloud Technology Expertise:
• Demonstrate advanced expertise in AWS services, solutions, and best practices.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters to support scalable and resilient applications.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align cloud engineering strategies with organizational goals.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled and motivated cloud engineering team.
• Provide guidance on career growth, skill development, and performance improvement.

Requirements:

What you should bring

• Proven experience in a leadership role within cloud engineering, encompassing DevOps, QA, security, and FinOps.
• Proven experience in defining long term strategies and execution plans with a successful record of execution.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, solutions, and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and Quality best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining robust security practices.
• Familiarity with FinOps principles and strategies for cloud cost optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
