Cloud Core Platform Director

NICE Actimize is seeking a star R&D Director to join and lead X-Sight, our strategic Cloud platform, and Core Platform teams in Israel. We are creating a platform that allows the world's largest financial institutions to fight, prevent, and manage financial crime. In X-Sight you will have a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud and AI technologies to build cloud-based services.

As member of SaaS leadership team you will be responsible to lead the development of our new platform core components: infrastructure, data processing, core engines, analytics capabilities and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead 5 large development groups at Israel, responsible for a multi-disciplinary teams that develops microservices platform. This includes functions such as backend and frontend software developers, testers, DevOps, and support
• Collaborate with Product Management and the executive team in the development of short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
• Build Cloud and Production mindset within development teams.
• Actively guide and mentor the team to meet functional, performance, quality, timeline and all while obviating roadblocks.
• Manage a fully Agile team and actively drive a continuous improvement process with a focus on process automation, testing automation, and velocity increase.
• Lead product development towards aggressive goals of integrating with cutting-edge technologies.
• Partner effectively in a highly matrix environment with key stakeholders to align the team, prioritize efforts, and execute strategies.
• Manage all people aspects of the team, such as hiring, reviews, mentoring, promotions, etc.
  
  

• 10+ years of experience managing multiple teams of software developers (backend and frontend), DevOps and testers.
• Proven experience building a new product and new effective organization from scratch.
• Solid experience with Cloud AWS development.
• Proven track record of managing software products, and engineering projects, delivering on time and, on-budget with world-class quality.
• Demonstrated ability to deftly influence others, especially in a complex matrix environment.
• Deep experience with agile software development techniques.
• Evidence of visionary and decisive leadership with the ability to inspire staff and others across the organization to explore and adopt new operating procedures to support effective and efficient resource management and solid understanding of microservices distributed architectures.
• Demonstrated success in multi-site development and offshore management.
• Great initiative; proven ability to tackle projects with alacrity.
