Assistant Controller – Revenue team (Maternity leave cover)

JFrog is continuously growing and is looking for a talented Assistant Controller (temporary position) to join our revenues team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with various levels of the organization and play a major role in defining our revenue accounting, revenue policy and compliance, as well as taking part and leading processes related to accounting, business and process automation.

As assistant Controller, Revenue at JFrog you will…

• Assist with month-end close activities, including monthly revenue recognition and commission capitalization in compliance with ASC 606, monthly revenue analytics and deferred revenue account reconciliations
• Serve as one of the finance organization's revenue accounting subject matter experts
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AR, IS, Legal, Sales and Sales Operations to provide guidance of technical accounting and policy, and support the ongoing business needs around revenue recognition
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and partner with other departments to streamline the processes related to revenue and create best practices across the organization
• Review contracts in order to apply the appropriate revenue recognition method in accordance with relevant accounting literature and the Company's revenue recognition policy
• Assist with updating the company's revenue recognition policy on a yearly basis and when and if needed
• Work closely with the company's external auditors to ensure approved revenue policies are adhered and monitored to, and prepare schedules and reports in support of annual audit ensuring that all revenue deliverables are met
• Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed, both revenue and business related
  
  

• CPA with Big 4 experience. Experience in the tech industry is an advantage
• Working knowledge and experience with ASC 606 is an advantage
• Working knowledge and approach to financial systems such as NetSuite, Zuora and Salesforce is a big plus
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Ability to analyze and interpret customer contracts
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Positive, hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving
• Exceptional business partnering skills, with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company
