Backend Team Leader

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team, with a passion for the restaurant and food industry. In this role, you will lead a team of highly experienced senior developers, overseeing code reviews and design, and playing a key role in building backend systems. You will work closely with product and business units to deliver innovative technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building large-scale backend systems with comprehensive testing coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and monitor backend team tasks in an agile environment.
• Innovate and integrate new technologies into backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with product and business units to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Hands-on involvement in writing code and designing backend systems.
• Lead quality processes, including building test plans and overseeing release rollouts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• 2+ years of experience in a team leadership role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fast learner, able to grasp both business and technical aspects quickly.
• Proven experience with large-scale systems.
• Experience in reviewing and designing code in a team setting.
• Deep understanding of message queues, microservices architecture and MongoDB.
• Expertise in applying clean code principles and implementing solid design patterns
