Embedded Software Engineer

A hi-tech company specializing in the development of Deep Learning chips focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in edge devices installed in various products such as drones, smart home devices, cameras, TVs, AR/VR products, wearables, various IoT devices, and more.

The company covers diverse areas, including hardware, software, and machine learning, with 70% of its employees being part of the software teams. The largest R&D group within the company is dedicated to software.

Role Overview: Reporting to the R&D manager, the role involves joining an existing team, being at the forefront of developing and optimizing algorithms for processing digital signals and embedding them in hardware for various Vision and AI applications. The team is working on the company's next component, developing DSP integrated into the processor starting from FW to the Linux driver.

The company values well-being and work-life balance and has around 160 employees in Israel. Located in Tel Aviv near the train station, they follow a hybrid work model with two days working from home.

Responsibilities

• Plan memory arrangement, data transfers, and pipelining of computation to maximize DSP utilization.

• Design, develop and integrate algorithms into DSP frameworks, including intrinsic optimization and performance analysis and evaluation, while meeting real-time constraints.

• Work in different SW environments, ranging from low-level embedded FW, kernel drivers and user space, build-systems and infrastructure, and more.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or relevant field.

• 5+ years of versatile R&D experience in C/C++.

• 3+ years of R&D experience in Firmware development.

• Experience with the Embedded Stack: Firmware, Linux Kernel (Drivers), Linux User-mode.

• Proactive technical leadership, strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
