Senior Software Engineer

National Retail Solutions (NRS Plus) is a subsidiary of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT) that operates a point-of-sale network and credit card processing for small and midsize stores across the USA.

 Role Description:

We are looking for a senior developer who can introduce innovation and find the most effective and innovative way to make our existing mobile Android POS software cross-platform. 

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions that work seamlessly on various devices and operating systems.

As a senior developer, responsible for cross-platform support you will:

• Work independently and within the teams to deliver software projects from conception to product launch
• Work with product, design, and QA teams to understand the business needs and deliver excellent products
• Research, plan, and execute a cross-platform solution for the mobile POS
• Plan and execute in parallel to existing development, ensuring compatibility and performance
• Research and evaluate new technologies and frameworks that can improve our software quality and functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and bugs
• Mentor and coach junior developers and share best practices across teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in software development, preferably in mobile development in the POS or retail verticals
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and SQLite
• Extensive experience in developing cross-platform software using tools such as Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native, Ionic or other
• Experience in working with cloud-based solutions such as Firebase, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience in working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
