Responsibilities

We are seeking a versatile Concept 2D Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating captivating and engaging visual concepts within the casual gaming sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional artistic abilities, a deep understanding of game design principles, and the capacity to translate ideas into compelling visual narratives while also adeptly managing external communications and guiding fellow artists.

• Create high-quality, original 2D concept art, including characters, environments, objects, and UI elements, aligned with the project's vision and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the art director, game designers, and narrative team to ensure visual concepts align with the game's narrative and design.
• Independently liaise with external suppliers, providing clear and concise briefs to guide their work and maintain consistency with the project's artistic vision.
• Write comprehensive briefs for other artists, guiding them in executing specific elements or tasks within the project.
• Provide constructive and effective feedback to other artists, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented artistic environment.
• Balance artistic creativity with practical considerations within the constraints of game design.
  
  

• Proven experience (2 years) as a 2D artist in the gaming industry, specializing in casual games and demonstrating hands-on experience in managing external communications.
• Exceptional proficiency in digital illustration and concept development using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong understanding of fundamental art principles, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling, especially in relation to game narratives.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external suppliers, providing clear and concise briefs and guidance.
• Demonstrated capability in writing briefs for other artists and providing constructive criticism to foster artistic growth and maintain artistic consistency.
• A portfolio showcasing creative diversity, originality, and the ability to convey narrative elements visually.
