We are seeking a Technical writer to join our team of technical writers responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for our software products. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Technical writer with experience in technical writing and a deep understanding of software development and documentation best practices. The Technical Writer Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and usability of our product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Be fully involved in the documentation process from initial design to release.
• Manage revisions to existing documentation, including release notes, installation guides, user guides, REST API, and technical videos
• Identify new documentation needs or opportunities and resolve reported documentation issues.
• Maintain documentation processes and best practices to ensure consistency and accuracy across all product documentation, including the development of a technical documentation style guide and a microcopy style guide
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to understand product features and requirements and ensure documentation meets the needs of all stakeholders and our customers
• Manage documentation schedules to ensure timely delivery of documentation
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and product writing and make recommendations for improvement
• Prioritize documentation pipeline to ensure critical issues and long-term projects are addressed in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, Product, or UI/UX writing
• Strong understanding of software development and documentation best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to details and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
• Experience with documentation and development tools such as Doc360 and Jira
• Knowledge of content management systems and version control systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
