Diabetes Medical Lead

The Position
As the Diabetes Medical Lead, you will create and implement short, medium, and long-term medical strategies along with active involvement in Business areas strategic medical initiatives. Moreover, you will manage and oversee the collaboration between Medical Advisors (MAs) and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) with their cross-functional teams.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• You will lead the diabetes medical team in implementing medical affairs core activities, namely scientific dialogue, insights collection, evidence generation (including post marketing clinical trials and secondary data collection and analysis) and organizational readiness through an organised medical strategy aligned with the brand overall strategy.
• You will in charge of the development of direct reports (consisting of MSLs and Medical Advisors) by identifying needs and discussing Individual Development Plans (IDP).
• You will be responsible for your team’s medical affairs capabilities through a structured process of medical effectiveness and excellence.
• You will coordinate the communication between the medical team and the various relevant internal stakeholders in Israel and across.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A strong medical and scientific qualifications as a PharmD, PhD, DVM, DMD or MD
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry, at least 2 as a medical advisor\manager.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, high emotional intelligence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Experience with managing teams- a significant advantage.
• Mandatory proficiency in both English and Hebrew.
