Release Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

The Release Manager (Maternity Leave Cover) role is a critical part of our product development and delivery process. Your primary goal will be to manage the SaaS and On-Prem product delivery by driving coordination among engineering teams, stakeholders, and to align all groups toward speedy, high-quality releases.

As a Release Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive the development of release management platforms and processes throughout the lifecycle of validation and deployment. You will do this by collaborating with all stakeholders in the software development process. Additionally, you are responsible for improving the tooling and processes for building and deploying software at high velocity. You are a program manager with sufficient functional experience to understand the components of the release and how their technical complexity affects the release schedule and risks. You will be required to manage complex situations while evaluating risks and balancing them against business goals and priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage release branches and release content
• Manage different release methodologies for multiple product lines and components
• Drive coordination among engineering teams and stakeholders and align all groups toward high-quality releases throughout the entire fast-paced release lifecycle
• Communicate regular release status, post-release action items, and other release information
• Own any release-related communication, and maintain schedules, release landing pages, and calendar entries
• Monitor progress of phases by employing appropriate metrics and management reporting
• Facilitate all release-related meetings
• Continuously improve the release processes, communication, and delivery
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with development and QA managers
• Have the ability to make critical decisions even in situations where there may be conflicting interests from the direction of delivery and development

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Proven experience working with Jira and Git.
• Experience partnering with product and delivery teams
• Experience in Product/Program Management, Quality Engineering, or Software Development
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Team player with a passion for new technologies and creative solutions
• Proven track record of operating effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
