Role: Sustainable Design Specialist:Simulation Guru and Innovation Expert

Company Description

WAWA is a Green Building consulting and design company located in Tel Aviv District, Israel. We provide consulting & design services for sustainable buildings, coordinating & leading green projects, and managing "Green building” certification. We implement a multidisciplinary design framework of architects, engineers and consultants from the various areas that are contained in the sustainable building. Our services include consultancy services, coordination of green building certification according to LEED and SI5281, designing "edge solutions", R&D projects, and funds initiating and promoting funds for green building projects by financial bodies.

Role Description

We are hiring a full-time hybrid role of Simulation Guru and Innovation Expert. The successful candidate will be located in Tel Aviv District, Israel, but some work from home is allowed. The Simulation Guru and Innovation Expert will work with a team of internal and external experts to create innovative solutions for green building projects that are accurate and cost-effective through simulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and programming simulations, testing the results to ensure they meet project goals, and presenting their findings to the project leaders.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in the field of environmental simulation and green technology in buildings
• Knowledgeable in one or more of the following software/tools: EnergyPlus, IES, Rhino3D, Sketchup, Grasshopper, WUFI, and Openstudio
• Familiarity with green building standards such as LEED, WELL, and BREEAM
• Experience in statistical analysis, database management, or data visualization is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain results of complex simulations to non-technical stakeholders
• PhD or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Building Science
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines

Location

Based in our Israel office with hybrid flexibility. Remote candidates are welcome, with periodic visits to our headquarters.
