ML SW Team Leader

Shopic is an AI start-up specializing in retail solutions and shopping experiences. Our technology turns any shopping cart into a smart cart. Powered by computer vision and data analytics, the cart lets shoppers grab the products they want and skip the checkout lines when they leave the store.

We are based in Tel Aviv, deployed by major grocery chains worldwide, and employ some of the best minds in the AI sector. Our work model is one day a week from home.

We're looking for a passionate ML SW Team Leader, which loves creating, shaping and impacting the company's product and vision. As a ML SW Team Leader, you'll deliver a scalable, high quality infrastructure, combining AI models with Application needs. Building a fast, scalable and reliable data pipeline on IOT device, Deal with a bunch of technological challenges in areas such as performance and data scale, high standards, clean-code, and more.

You will need both low-level and high-level knowledge to handle performance and AI challenges while delivering high quality features and infrastructure. Constantly improve the process, adopt new technologies and create better products.

Responsabilities:

• you will design, build and deliver the next generation features of our ML based solution.
• Managing the day-to-day activities of the team, dealing with priorities and challenges.
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback to team members.
• Plan the team work based on business goals, estimate the effort, provide due dates, and deliver on them.
• Build your team – hire, coach, mentor, improve and lead your engineers.
• Work closely with researches and App team developers in defining and delivering features.
• Contribute to the company's engineering culture, by implementing best engineering practices.
  
  

• Extensive Software Engineering Experience - A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering
• Leadership Experience- At least 3 years of proven leadership experience in managing software development teams
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities with a track record of effectively managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for projects, coupled with exceptional leadership skills to inspire teams towards achieving collective goals. A proactive "yes we can" attitude is essential
• Experience in Computer Vision/AI (Advantageous): Prior experience or exposure to computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies would be advantageous
