About the Role:

As a SaaS company, we aim to achieve the highest availability to delight and serve our customers. We’re committed to releasing on-time, on-quality features that impact the business and provide real value to our customers.

We're looking for a passionate QA Architect who understands testing strategies and creating and measuring KPIs, both for frontend and backend services. As our QA Architect, you will be in constant communication with R&D to drive efficiency through quality - ensuring product uptime availability, reducing rewrites, rollbacks, and escaped defects, increasing trust and confidence in test automation flows, and owning the release cycles.

You will work closely with all facets of the organization - CTO, Architects, R&D, and Product- to facilitate a holistic solution enabling the company to scale the product and provide the best-in-class solution in the industry with clearly defined OKRs and derived KPIs.

What you will do:

• Act as the company’s Quality Champion
• Define the company’s QA strategy, methodology, and standards, overseeing the creation of automated test plans and processes and ensuring measurable results
• Develop and implement performance, scale, and testing environments
• Participate in design reviews for new features and ensure automation flows are part of the “definition of done” of the R&D
• Lead the release retrospective and post-mortem processes, analyze past data to drive continuous improvement
  
  

What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• At least 8 years of experience with QA automation and testing
• Proven experience in technical leadership roles
• Extensive knowledge of various testing methodologies - including but not limited to component, contract, regression, security (static and dynamic), E2E
• Experience with automation testing frameworks such as but not limited to Playwright, Jest, Scala Test
• Deep understanding of the product software development life cycle and quality gates
• Experience in creating and successfully stabilizing engineering environments
• Proven experience in distributed processing or streaming platforms
• Experience in leading quality processes for production-grade software products, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Ability to translate KPIs to actionable targets while operating in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
• Ability to guide R&D teams towards autonomous ownership of their test plans
• Experience working with outsourced contractors, motivating, mentoring, and guiding them to success
