VP Data Science (Stealth mode)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and team leadership. As a key member of our startup, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced AI solutions to enhance CRM functionalities.

Education:

* Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Experience:

* Must have experience working in a B2B SAAS company

* Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in data science and analytics.

* Proven track record of successful management or team leadership, including mentoring and guiding junior data scientists.

Technical Skills:

* Expertise in developing and implementing machine learning models, particularly LLM (Large Language Models), classification models, ranking algorithms, deep learning architectures, reinforcement learning, and knowledge of model deployment and scaling.

* Proficient in Python.

* Strong understanding of data manipulation and analysis tools, including but not limited to pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.

Management Skills:

* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of data scientists, fostering collaboration and innovation.

* Proven experience in leading a scientific project, from the design stage to research, implementation, and deployment.

* Proven experience in project management, with the ability to set clear goals, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Modeling Skills:

* Extensive experience in building and deploying machine learning models for real-world applications.

* Deep understanding of various machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, ensemble methods, and model evaluation.

Domain Knowledge:

* (Optional/Advantage) Previous experience in industries such as CRM, marketing automation, or revenue operations is an advantage.

Communication Skills:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

* Experience presenting findings and insights to senior management and key decision-makers.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

* Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business analysts.

* Willingness to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
