Polymer scientist

Meatafora is seeking a skilled polymer scientist for a Research & Development position. This is a lab-based role centered on optimizing biomaterial performance and exploring new areas of IP and technology in the development of our product. 

Responsibilities

·    Develop and optimize emulsion-based formulations for enhanced stability, texture, and functionality in food applications.

·    Utilize various tools and methods for the characterization of biomaterials, demonstrating proficiency in analysis and interpretation of results.

·    Collaborate with other scientists internally and perform analyses in external organizations.

Qualifications

·        MSc in material or polymer sciences or a related discipline.

·        Working knowledge about functionalization of natural polymers to tailor their properties.

·        Proficiency in various tools and methods for material characterization (TGA, DSC, TPA, rheology, etc.).

·        Proven experience with food-grade biomaterials.

·        Previous experience with pilot plant or manufacturing will be a plus.

·        Strong collaborative and independent work capabilities.

·        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
