SoC Architect, Manager

A NauWork semiconductor client is seeking an SoC Architect, Manager/Leader to join their Network and Edge team in Haifa or Petah Tikvah, Israel.

As an SOC Architect Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the product roadmap of the organization and getting projects to production on first silicon. You will lead a team of talented engineers within the Architecture organization, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the VP of Silicon, and with key customers to execute the silicon architecture strategy for cutting-edge cloud networking products. This role requires a deep understanding of semiconductor design, advanced process technology, and a successful silicon development track record.

In this role, you will:

• Supervise and drive end-to-end SoC implementation within a project lifecycle and across product generations, including firmware, hardware, and platform integration for highly optimized, modular, and scalable network SoCs.
• Refine SoC functionality, connectivity, configuration, performance, timing, power, and area goals.
• Drive evaluation and integration of existing IP blocks into new SoCs as well as the specification of adaptation logic.
• Evaluate feasibility trade-offs and late binding microarchitecture iterations.
• Invent, conceptualize, and specify microarchitecture and architectural features for next generation products for performance and power optimizations.
• Participate in the crafting of test plans, and testing infrastructure for block and full-chips environments
• Analyze test results using advanced statistics and data predictions for benchmarking performance and determining areas for improvement.
• Provide experimental/proof-of-concept changes for proposing design alternatives meeting performance, power, area, and timing constraints.
• Review, challenges, and influences cross-functional roadmaps and defines technology targets for future SoCs.
• Collaborate with architects, design engineers, system engineers, and verification engineers to improve the overall design of SoCs and overcome constraints.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related area of study (postgraduate degree preferred)
• 9+ years of experience in semiconductor design, including microarchitecture definition, implementation, and validation.
• Strong networking experience as a practitioner from L1 through L4, and the intersection of networking with semiconductors. Require queueing and traffic management expertise.
• Strong understanding of server I/O subsystems and interfaces.
• Proven track record of successfully leading silicon architecture and managing/leading architects from concept to production, ideally in high-end networking and communication. Ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of engineers.
• Experience in architecture performance and power optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
