Assist Owner in all matters pertaining to the operation of the Power Plant with a goal of achieving and maintaining reliable, available, cost-effective, safe and environmentally compliant operation.

Job Description

Assist Owner in all aspects regarding the Power Plant operation as well as equipment specific operations procedures as required by the Owner.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist Owner in preparing an operational strategy and its implementation consistent with the view of achieving better plant efficiency to support the Owner's requirements in a safe, reliable, economic, and environmental manner.
• Support operational root cause analysis and troubleshoot malfunctions and operating defects.
• Support Owner in the preparation of operating procedures for Power Plant systems, their implementation, and improvements, using plant designer's operation manuals and procedures and equipment supplier instructions (OEM recommendations).
• Make recommendations for Power Plant modifications and upgrades to enhance reliability, availability, and performance.
• Review Power Plant operating logs covering Power Plant operating parameters and conduct necessary review and analysis to proactively identify, recommend and advise Owner on of potential risks and their possible mitigation.
• Review and advise Owner on operational excursions or events identified by the control system or digital monitoring devices.
• Assist Owner in the production plan and the daily operating plan.
• Establishing a set of documents including but not limited to operating procedures, maintenance procedures, quality control procedures, and procedures for responding to emergency events.
• Review, and observe where practicable, Owner's environmental health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Evaluate if such programs, policies, and procedures are in compliance with Owner's Operation and Maintenance Procedures and Prudent Industry Practices. Advise Owner as required on adjusting to safety rules where GE (or other) safety rules are at a higher levels or standards.
• Support Owner on defining plant operating strategies with the view of lowering cost operation and/or increase efficiency and output.
• Support Owner in carrying out studies, rectifying defects, deficiencies, and irregularities observed with respect to operations and maintenance of the Power Plant
• Review and Advise Owners on the process of regular chemical analysis of water and process steam.
