Investment Analyst

Maniv is the leading venture capital firm focused on the next great frontier of digitization: the movement of people and goods. We invest globally at the early stage out of our offices in Tel Aviv and New York City. Our portfolio of 38 companies spans eight countries, and our top-performing funds are backed by leading financial institutions alongside over a dozen multinational automotive, logistics, transportation and energy companies. 

As an Investment Analyst in either of our New York or Tel Aviv offices, you will be a key member of Maniv’s highly collaborative and entrepreneurial team. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating inbound deal flow, managing our investment pipeline, as well as completing key market, business and financial diligence work streams on investment targets. This role offers candidates an introduction to the world of sector-focused early-stage VC, with the expectation of eventual and gradual exposure to the broader responsibilities of our organization, including portfolio management, LP engagement, research content creation, as well as networking and relationship development across the mobility, transportation and VC investment ecosystems. 

Responsibilities: 

• Reviewing and prioritizing inbound startups seeking investment, as well as identifying and engaging relevant startups 
• Performing market, business and financial due diligence on investment opportunities
• Supporting investment thesis building and market research in mobility-related fields on behalf of Maniv and our ecosystem partners
• Lending a hand towards business development tasks to advance portfolio companies

Qualifications & Personal Characteristics:

• A love of learning, the requisite curiosity to take deep dives into unfamiliar markets and technologies, and a willingness to “put in the work” to quickly become familiar with the operations and workflows of a VC firm
• Professional experience in venture capital, consulting, private equity, investment banking, startups / hi-tech, or related fields
• Native or near-native English speaker
• Demonstrated impeccable English-language research and writing proficiency (writing samples will be requested later in the interview process)
• Results-oriented with close attention to detail, along with excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and writing skills
• A proactive mentality, self-motivated and with the ability to “hit the ground running” and work independently as part of a small team, taking initiative within a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about innovation and technology, and especially about the worlds of automotive, transportation, mobility, logistics and sustainability.
