Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. The candidate will help drive the next generation of ControlUp innovation using the cutting edge of modern technologies. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop cutting-edge technologies and DevOps methodologies

Responsibilities:

• Work within a team of professionals and be an integral part of ControlUp’s success
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Security, and IT teams to enhance ControlUp’s infrastructure
• Deploy and operate a large-scale system to support thousands of ControlUp customers
• Contribute to the development of CI/CD processes
• Troubleshoot complex problems across multiple Cloud providers involving numerous components
• Research, develop, and implement tools to enhance ControlUp's stability, performance, and automation processes
• Oversee ControlUp’s production environment & system health (including on-call rotation)
  
  

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
• Must have hands-on experience in Linux and Windows platforms
• Must have experience with monitoring systems
• Must have experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or Salt
• Must have broad programming and systems experience with an emphasis on the Linux environment
• Must have hands-on experience with cloud computing systems (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Must have strong experience with at least one scripting language (Python / Ruby / Perl)
• Must have strong experience in shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Excellent communication skills, team player
• Attention to details but also an ability to see the big picture
• Motivated self-learner
• Ability to work independently and off standard hours when required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical and technical audiences
• Perfect English skills (both written and verbal)
