We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Global Tax Manager to join our Finance team. The Global Tax Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position reports directly to the Senior Corporate Controller and offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled tax professional to contribute to the success of CHEQ.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business strategies for optimizing tax returns and minimizing the effective tax rate.
• Lead various projects related to international tax and transfer pricing.
• Prepare and maintain tax-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Manage monthly and quarterly sales tax returns from multiple states.
• Work with external auditors, outside tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Stay on top of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with the Senior Corporate Controller to develop tax planning strategies to minimize CHEQ's tax liabilities.
  
  

• CPA with a minimum of 4 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Able to lead processes and work independently.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
