Structural Engineer

Veev, an innovative large-scale company in the construction industry and a subsidiary of Lennar (the second-largest home developer in the United States) with a fabrication factory and site assembly in the Silicon Valley area and design and development offices in Tel-Aviv, is looking for a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team in our Tel Aviv office.

This position plays an active role in the ongoing efforts to solve the challenge of bringing house construction to a mass-production factory environment and further develop Veev’s unique prefabrication technology.

The Engineering Senior Structural Engineer is expected to execute broad engineering knowledge and innovative spirit to design and development of new products, product changes, and enhancements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, management, and implementation of product and design concepts using analytical calculations.
• Developing structural methods, standards, and details in a design for manufacturing and assembly orientation.
• Designing test prototypes to examine functionality and ease-of-production of designed products.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including architects, mechanical engineers and structural engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-company departments on product design concepts, develop new products, and enhance existing products.
• Lead the structural engineering discipline within the team, including setting standards, breaking tasks into planning, validating, and mentoring other team members.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MSc or PhD - advantage).
• 7+ years of experience and a proven record as a hands-on structural engineer designer with the ability to execute from A-to-Z.
• Experience with BIM software, specifically Revit.
• Experience with international codes and standards.
• Ability to read, process, and implement codes, researches, and other professional literature.
• “Out of the box” innovative thinking, using solutions and methods from different practices and fields.
• Ability to solve a problem with a preliminary design, then improve and finalize it with proven methods.
