Position - Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Location- Working from Home, any time zone.

The Role:

We’re looking for an amazing Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, who will single-handedly manage Elsa’s annual operating plan (AOP), forecasting and BVA. This candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, be hands-on and collaborate with ELSA’s global teams effectively. Ideally, s/he will have demonstrated achievements, in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving start-up environment and or with a subscription-focused business. 

Job Responsibilities Include:

Responsibilities:

• Own the company's financial model (Revenue and costs)
• Solid knowledge of the forecasting and AOP process (top-down and bottom-up)
• Oversees the annual budget and monthly forecast process across all Geos. AOP 
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly reporting of actual vs. budget/forecast with variance explanations
• Support companywide Initiatives Impact analysis modeling. 
• Deliver monthly management reports to support the Sales and Global management team to help guide business decisions
• Assist business areas to establish and manage KPIs (Revenue, Gross margin, ARR, AOV, CVR, Churn, and Cashflow)
• Prepare ROI analysis, scenario and long-range planning, business case for ad hoc projects, B2B deals, and other initiatives to support growth and business expansion
• Review quarterly commission payout calculation
• Lead initiatives for the improvement of current processes, financial models, and metrics
• Implement an FP&A web-based automation tool
• Align booking definitions with sales teams

Qualities:

• Strong Excel and Google sheet skills- Must

Education:

• MBA/Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting

Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant FP&A experience in the Technology SAAS sector, preferably in the Edtech and app space. 
• Understanding of Edtech and Language app core metrics, industry benchmarks and how these metrics trickle down to operational metrics.
• Experience with QB & Oracle NetSuite and/or other relevant financial planning tools 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, and understanding of accounting operations such as billing, Capex vs Opex and accruals
• Experience working with international teams preferred
