Our cutting-edge platform analyzes clinical charts within healthcare providers' Electronic Health Records (EHR), leveraging AI to emulate the critical thought processes of nursing professionals. Our mission is to make clinical documentation bulletproof for compliance and reimbursement purposes, and improve patient care by providing advanced insights derived from medical data, informed by nursing literature, protocols, and real-world evidence.

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our data science, AI, and data engineering initiatives to join as our first engineering team member. 

This pivotal role combines deep technical expertise in medical data analysis with visionary leadership to establish and guide our data science and AI team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record in developing AI-driven solutions within the healthcare sector, capable of translating complex medical data into actionable insights.

• Design, develop, and implement AI algorithms and models that analyze clinical charts, drawing from nursing literature, protocols, and real-world data.
• Lead the creation and execution of our data science and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with our core mission and business objectives.
• Hands-on development and engineering of our data processing and analysis infrastructure.
• Establish and lead the data science and AI team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, Medicine or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI and machine learning, with a specific focus on medical data analysis and insights generation.
• Demonstrated experience in leading data science projects from conception to deployment in a healthcare context.
• Proficiency in data engineering and familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare data protocols.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to ethical AI practices.
• Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
