Senior Data Scientist

Versatile is a Construction Tech Company that has pioneered a new, non-intrusive way to capture a construction site performance data. Our vision is to connect all fragmented pieces of the construction process to a single source of productivity and precision.

We are looking for a Hands-on Senior Data Scientist to join our team. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude that is not afraid to dig deep into uncharted territories and prevail there. You will join a top-notch engineering team in our Tel Aviv headquarters.

What you will be doing:

• Join our R&D team and take a leading role in shaping our data-first product strategy.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Management team to explore innovative ways to leverage complex construction site data, encompassing images, GPS location of construction artifacts, and other relevant sources.
• Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to drive impactful data science projects and research initiatives. Engage with the development and data engineering teams to facilitate the implementation of data-driven solutions.
• effectively communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leverage your expertise in Data Science and Algorithm development to create impactful data solutions for our end customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a data-driven company, specializing in relevant areas of data science and machine learning.
• Extensive expertise in Python and its associated libraries for data science, including Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenAI. Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling, using tools such as Looker, Matplotlib, or similar platforms.
• Broad knowledge and a strong passion for learning new technologies in the domain of AI and algorithms, staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing real-time machine learning, AI, and algorithm development in large-scale environments, with tangible results and measurable impact.
• Proficient in utilizing various Big Data Platforms frameworks such as Snowflake, Spark, and Databricks for data science-related tasks, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of data architecture and the ability to leverage these tools effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to model and transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights and solutions.
• Hold a BSc degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or any other quantitative field that provides a solid foundation for data science and machine learning.
• Strong grasp of statistical significance, enabling robust data analysis and interpretation, and the ability to apply statistical techniques appropriately to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business challenges, formulate data-driven hypotheses, and design experiments to test and validate these hypotheses.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, through clear and concise verbal and written communication.
• Track record of publications, patents, or contributions to the data science and machine learning community is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is desirable.
