Security Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Security engineer to join Check Point’s brand-new Web 3.0 security development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the technological success and innovation of a new product line that will revolutionize the rapidly evolving blockchain security products and services industry.

The Challenge: In 2023, the Web3 sector experienced over $1.2 billion in losses due to security breaches, underscoring the urgent need for innovative security solutions in this rapidly evolving domain. As the Development Lead, you will address these critical challenges in a sector where profound security solutions are yet to be established. Leveraging Check Point's strong client base in the financial sector and working with our world-leading research team, you will utilize AI, LLMs, and our Threat Cloud to develop ground-breaking security solutions. This role offers a chance to significantly shape the Web3 security landscape and position Check Point as a leader in this vital and evolving field.

More about the role: As Security Engineer, you will spearhead development efforts, working in close collaboration with the head of Web3 Security and CTO of Web3.0 Security. This is a unique opportunity akin to launching a start-up within Check Point (acting as a founding member of the new team).

Major Responsibilities

• Software development: ownership of large portions of our overall technical development of novel, category defining web3 security products. From ideation to sleek products delivery.
• Technical Engagement Management: research, spec, develop and integrate tailored solutions (products and services) for our design partners and later, our clients.

Desired Background

Must:

• Education and Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Personality: We are looking for a team player that can fit well into a small “commando” team. The candidate needs to demonstrate his ability to jump into new technologies quickly and apply them.

Preferred:

• 2+ years in blockchain research and development. In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized systems.

And/or

• 2+ years of experience in cyber security research and development.
• Developing sleek enterprise applications.
• Technical Skills: +2 years’ experience coding. In either: frontend technologies such as JavaScript, and modern JS frameworks (React), or backend technologies, including server-side scripting languages (e.g., Node.js, Python).
