Responsibilities:

• Cost Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize AWS costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Financial Accountability: Track and manage cloud expenses, providing insights and recommendations for cost reduction.
• Resource Utilization: Analyze and improve resource utilization efficiency, identifying opportunities for savings.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate financial reports, analyze spending patterns, and provide actionable insights.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align cloud resource usage with business goals.
• Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement FinOps methodologies for continuous improvement.
  
  

Requirements:

• AWS Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS services, with a focus on cost management and optimization.
• FinOps Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in implementing FinOps practices for cloud cost management.
• FinOps Tools Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with FinOps Cloud SaaS tools in AWS and Commercial equivalent (CloudHealth etc)implementing FinOps practices for cloud cost management.
  
  

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Budgeting: Experience in budget management and creating financial forecasts for cloud resources.
• Automation Skills: Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages for streamlining processes.
• Certifications: AWS certifications related to cost management or FinOps practices are a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve financial issues.
