Lead Zoologist / Animal Behavior Expert

EARLY Labs, is expanding! We are a biotech company based in Israel that specializes in Volatile Organic Compound (VOCs) based diagnostics. Our focus is on developing a multi-cancer test platform that can detect cancer odor signatures in urine samples, even in its earliest stages. We achieve this using a patented technology that combines Machine Learning and animal biosensors. Our test platform reaches over 90% sensitivity and specificity results for stage I cancers. It is already up and running in our lab in Israel. We have partnered with top-tier medical centers in the United States and Israel for both clinical and design purposes.

Role Description

This job is a full-time, on-site position, seeking a Lead Zoologist/Animal Behavior Expert. The candidate will be responsible for leading research in the field of animal training and working in a highly technical environment that includes an interface to a Machine Learning module.

Qualifications

• Masters/PhD in Zoology/Psychobiology or relevant field. 

• Experience in conducting behavioral experiments and training methodologies with animals. Rodents – an advantage. 

• Understanding of scientific principles governing animal behavior, and physiology.

• Experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team of researchers. 

• We are looking for an analytical thinker, problem solver, and result-driven researcher.
