Head of Digital Infrastructure

Responsibilities: As the Head of Digital Infrastructure , you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining our company's digital infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and Strategy:

· Develop and implement comprehensive plans for the company's digital infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and security.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with overall business goals.

Installation and Maintenance:

· Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both physical and cloud-based production infrastructure.

· Ensure the continuous optimization of systems to meet evolving business needs.

Security:

· Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard our digital assets.

· Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging threats to proactively address security concerns.

Technology Stack:

· Utilize leading products in the market, virtualization, segmentation, firewalls, various protocols, and open-source technologies to enhance system quality, reliability, and performance.

Team Leadership:

· Lead and mentor a team of skilled infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

· Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting continuous learning and development.

Reporting Structure:

· This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), ensuring alignment with the overall technology strategy of the organization.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Must-Have:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing digital infrastructure in a web environment.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems, including Windows servers and various Linux distributions.
• Extensive expertise in virtualization systems, specifically VMware and Cloud Foundation.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Domain Name System (DNS).
• Thorough knowledge of security technologies, including Firewall, Load Balancer, Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Micro Segmentation, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and API Protection.
• Ability to write scripts in various languages, such as Python, PowerShell, and Irule.
• In-depth knowledge of leading cloud services providers, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with communication protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and network technologies such as Arista OS.
• Understanding of the system life cycle stages: analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, monitoring & alerting, deployment, and maintenance.

Advantageous:

• Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, including Zabbix, Grafana, and Kibana.
• Extensive knowledge of open-source web systems, such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, and MSsql.
