VP R&D

We are currently in search of a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Research and Development (VP R&D) to join our innovative team. As the VP R&D, you will play a crucial role in aligning our product development with the company's vision and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading and scaling R&D teams, particularly in startup environments.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product team to ensure the company's vision is effectively implemented with the highest standards.
• Implement modern engineering practices across the organization to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Develop a comprehensive growth plan and strategy for the R&D team.
• Promote transparency and informed decision-making through blameless postmortems and iterative improvement programs, focusing on product scale and quality.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the R&D organization to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Establish and maintain a fluent, self-maintained, flexible, and fast development process, constantly striving for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure, with knowledge of Infrastructure and Platform Management, Monitoring and Event Management, and Measurement and Reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as C# .NET.
• 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and scaling R&D teams, preferably in startup environments.
• Experience leading large R&D organizations, including Data Science, Software Engineers, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Support.
• Deep understanding of R&D builds for enterprise SAAS offerings.
• Cross-platform knowledge (web, mobile, back-end).
• Solid understanding of evaluating the ROI of R&D projects.
• Good understanding of how development connects with business goals.

• Solid experience in agile product development.
• "Can-Do" attitude and mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Advantage:

• B.Sc. and an advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing distributed teams.
• Understanding of CI-CD processes.
