Our mission is to revolutionize algae growth by integrating advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data-driven growth protocols. With an innovative Photobioreactor (PBR) system in development and anticipation of a significant grant from the European Innovation Council, we are poised for rapid growth and seeking a visionary CTO to spearhead our technological strategy.

Location: Flexible / Remote. current employees are based in Israel and Cyprus.

Engagement: Initially part-time, to transition to full-time based on funding success and company growth

The Opportunity

As CTO, you will be the architect of Algamol's technological vision, driving innovation in microalgae cultivation through strategic leadership and technical excellence. This role is a unique blend of hands-on development and high-level strategic planning, offering the chance to directly impact sustainable agriculture's future.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Craft and execute a technology strategy that aligns with Algamol's mission, ensuring technological advancements contribute to our leadership in the industry.
• Innovation and Development: Lead the development of autonomous growth protocols for microalgae, utilizing AI and ML to optimize cultivation processes and yields.
• Team Leadership and Growth: Build and mentor a high-performing tech team poised for the challenges of scaling in a startup environment.
• Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to secure funding, with a compelling technology narrative that engages investors and stakeholders.
• Technology Management: Oversee the selection and deployment of technology stacks, ensuring

scalability, security, and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience: Proven track record as a CTO (or equivalent role) in biotech, agriculture, or a related field. Experience in startups or fast-growth environments preferred.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of AI, ML, data analytics, and software development, with the ability to apply these in biological or cultivation contexts.
• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a team, drive innovation, and engage with external stakeholders.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with experience in aligning technology development with broader business goals.
• Qualifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA or similar is

advantageous.
