Chief Technology Officer

Our client is an advanced innovative Blood Diagnostics company, which aims to transform health systems and patient outcomes through accurate and convenient blood diagnostic testing. The company developed over almost a decade of research, representing breakthrough innovations in diagnostic methodology.

The company is seeking a highly skilled experienced Chief Technology Officer. The CTO will play a pivotal role in driving the company's technological innovation, will ensue that the company continues to bring new value to their customers and shareholders and remain at the forefront of the industry.

Job Description:

Location: Israel, Tel Aviv

Reporting to: CEO

Scope: Full time

Responsibility

• Responsible for the development of the company’s technological roadmap that aligns with the company's overall business strategy.
• Ensuring the company stays up to date with emerging technologies and state-of-the-art in the field and utilizes its technological capabilities to the farthest clinical application.
• Support and guide the entire company and R&D organization in particular with technological questions and investigations.
• Provide architecture guidance for product enhancements and new product developments, including, but not limited to the fields of Software and Algorithm development as well as Optics development.
• Responsible for driving new IP assets and managing the existing IP portfolio.
• Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and Strategic Alliances & Corporate Development team to identify new technology-based growth opportunities with external parties.
• Technology assessment of innovation projects opportunities including hands-on work together with a small team on proof-of-concept projects.
• Communicate technology strategy and capabilities to potential partners and investors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CTO / Innovation manager / senior technology leadership role, in multidisciplinary environment-must
• Proven experience in a Medical Device or Diagnostic company-an advantage
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Physics, Biomedical, or related disciplines)-must. An advanced degree (Ph.D.) is a plus
• Track record of identifying innovative technologies as a basis for successful products
• Scientific background/experience-must
• Deep understanding of relevant technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) including deep learning and computer vision, optics and spectroscopy, biologic microscopy including brightfield and fluorescent staining, hardware and microfluidic consumable design.
• Strong biological background with a deep understanding of human immunology and blood cell mechanisms.
