Commercial Lawyer

Diplomat Distributors is a leading distribution company serving the foodservice industry in Israel. Founded in 1998, the company has grown to become one of the country's premier broadline distributors, providing customers with a wide array of products including fresh produce, dairy items, poultry, meat, and grocery products.

We are looking for a lawyer to join our legal team and grow with us.

As a Commercial & Compliance lawyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to local applicable laws, regulations and internal policies You will provide legal advice to relevant company divisions regarding the company's core areas of activity. In addition, you will lead commercial agreements and negotiations and provide legal services that support business growth.

What you’ll do:

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a wide variety of legal matters &
• Negotiate, review and draft a variety of agreements, including procurement agreements, distribution agreements, and much more.
• Work closely with the Business departments within the company and manage the contractual journey end to end.
• Ensure the Company complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements.
• Implement an effective compliance program, designed to ensure the company products and services meet legal and regulatory requirements in various compliance and regulatory areas, with a focus on privacy protection, competition law and consumer protection.
• Evaluate the risks and effectiveness of the Company's compliance program on a regular basis.
• Keep informed of relevant legal developments as they occur, analyze their applicability to the Company's activities and objectives, and update the business on them.
• Mitigate risks through the design, implementation, and enforcement of company policies.
• Initiate and lead organizational processes, compliance policies and strategies that promote the Company's goals while complying with regulatory provisions opinions.

What you’ll need:

• LLB degree in law
• at least two years of experience (not including the internship) with Commercial law at a top-tier law firm (commercial department – advantage) or as an in-house counsel, experience in commercial law and industry knowledge that includes service agreements, and purchase and sale transactions.
• Knowledge of consumer regulation and competition law.
• Good understanding of retail world - advantage
• Strong contracting, drafting, and negotiating skills.
• Experience in a position requiring working under pressure.
• Ability to effectively initiate processes and manage interfaces.
• Fluency in English and Office software
• High ability for organization and order.
• Loyalty and high level of confidentiality.
