Lead Software Developer @ Vegan Friendly

About Us:

Vegan Friendly is a non-profit organization aiming to save animals’ lives and fight climate change by increasing awareness of veganism and making the vegan lifestyle more accessible.

About You:

As the Lead Software Developer at Vegan Friendly, you will be in charge of the technological field and projects by establishing the organization's technology vision, strategies, and growth plans. You will manage our technology team and report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Be in charge of the company’s technological needs A-Z
• Building, training & managing the R&D team
• Setup up the entire infrastructure for developing, testing, and deploying the company’s products
• Hands-on code contribution

Requirements:

• High motivation to promote sustainability, animal rights, and a vegan lifestyle.
• BSc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of full-time hands-on working experience as a software developer.
• 2+ years of experience developing full-stack applications.
• 1+ years of experience managing and leading a team, preferably a technology team.
• Familiarity with managing Linux servers - an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and high organizational skills.
• Self-driven and multitasking - excellent performance under pressure and multiple tasks.
• Fluent in English and Hebrew (dealbreaker)

About the team:

The organization's technology team was established in 2020.

The team consists of 4 members in these fields: Mobile Development, Web Development, QA&IT, and Product Management.
