Product Manager (Portfolio Opportunity)

A company in our portfolio is looking for a seasoned PM to join their team and lead the transition of their offerings from a high-adoption open-source tool to an enterprise product. More specifically, this PM will be focused on Atlas, often referred to as the "Terraform for Databases", emerging as a popular choice for managing database schemas. With an average month-over-month download growth of 31% over the past year, Atlas has hundreds of thousands of runs each month.

This is a great opportunity to get in early and build, with a focus on outbound product management. In this role, you will:

• Develop deep understanding of the fields of security (cyber) and observability (monitoring, etc.)
• Identify and validate pain points of our potential customers, leading research efforts and persona development.
• Work closely with design partners to match capabilities of Atlas to the needs in the market.
• Play a critical role in shaping the company's product offerings, business model, and strategy.

Strong candidates will have:

• 4+ years of experience in a relevant product management role, preferably with an outbound focus.
• Very good understanding of specific current industry trends, technology, and terminology in the security and/or observability space.
• Experience conducting user interviews, industry monitoring, competitive analysis, and cross-industry analysis.
• Ability to manage external stakeholders through design partner processes.
• A strong technical background and understanding, ideally with experience as a software engineer is useful. Good understanding of databases + modern DevOps/Platform tools a bonus.
