Description
In this role, the Business Applications Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing cross-functional projects related to business applications, with a primary focus on procurement systems. This individual will be the central point of contact for the procurement teams and will serve as a liaison between the finance, procurement, FP&A, Business teams & IT teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
This position is temporary, a replacement for maternity leave.
Our work model is hybrid, combining remote and on-site work. This allows us to get things done when and where we are most productive.
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?
- Project Leadership:
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and procurement stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Lead business applications projects related to financial applications, ensuring successful implementation and integration, especially with NetSuite, procurement & online booking systems.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & NetSuite Expertise:
- Serve as the in-house expert on the procurement & online booking systems functionality - Support procurement and the other financial app users by taking care of all production issues.
- Act as a bridge between the procurement, finance & IT teams.
- Understand the unique requirements of each team and translate them into system configurations and enhancements
- Provide training and support to procurement team members.
- Process Optimization
- Evaluate existing procurement processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with business units to implement best practices and streamline workflows.
- Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the procurement system.
- Integrations:
- Support integrations between the financial systems & the procurement & online booking systems.
- B.Sc . in information systems/Industrial Engineering - Big Advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in business applications admin/implementor.
- Strong project management background and business analyst skills, proven success in delivering projects on time, on budget, and in scope.
- Experience with integrations / Workato - Big Advantage.
- Financial and accounting background - ERP/NetSuite knowledge - Big Advantage.
- Has initiative, drive, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to urgent issues, is a team player, and performs well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent team player with the highest level of integrity.
- Willing to learn new platforms and technologies.
- Ability to effectively document business and technical designs.
