Job Description

We are looking for mechanical engineer with a can-do attitude to Join our R&D team in SpearUAV, a fast-growing innovative drone startup. You will contribute to the mechanical design, bring-up and implementation, up to production and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and develop the company’s aero-mechanical boards to support its innovativeness.
• Prepare using 3D CAD software mechanical CADs, thermodynamic analysis, detailed drawings, and assembly models complete with calculated dimensions and tolerances.
• Works independently and possesses a level of functional expertise necessary to influence and execute technical and project delivery execution.
• Work from product specifications and requirements to develop component and assembly geometry, specify materials, and establish high standards.
• Perform complex calculations, analyses, and testing to verify assumptions.
• Direct the construction and testing of prototype and pilot products, and conduct analysis of the test results.
• Collaborate with other engineers in the HW and other teams to ensure your design smoothly integrates with all aspects of the platform.
• Test and monitor the quality of your design using industry best practices and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5 years of hands-on mechanical development experience.
• Experience with multidisciplinary product development in the field of drones and/or robotics/ Aeronautics - required.
• Structural analysis, finite element analysis, and structural verification testing.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams in multi-disciplinary environment.
• Experience in Solid works – a must, other CAD software knowledge is an advantage.
• A demonstrated passion for building things, preferably that fly.
• Skilled with writing documentation, and test reports.
• Self-driven, motivated, and a strong teamwork quality.
• Knowledge and experience in plastic moldings – a major advantage
