Part-time Project Manager - Sensory Panel

MFL is looking for a part-time project manager to coordinate and manage our sensory panel, as we continue to develop delicious flavor products.

As Project Manager- Sensory Panel you will coordinate MFL in-house sensory panel tasks, validate their results statistically, perform literature surveys to find new taste and aroma descriptors, prepare the tastings logistically, and work with the R&D, Process Development, and Application teams within MFL.

Responsibilities:

·      Tasting Coordination- Schedule tasting slots, and prepare daily tastings using existing protocols

·      Data Analyses- Document and analyze tasting results and communicate these to other teams within MFL.

·      Tastings QA- validate panel standards and quality, perform routine calibration tests, update data collection tools as needed, train, calibrate, and qualify new tasters

·      Scientific Survey- identify new/revised sensorial descriptors, and recommend protocol changes if needed.

Qualification and Skills

·      Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, food science, gastronomy or any other related field

·      Hands-on with basic statistics and MS Office and Forms

·      Good communication skills and attention to detail

·      Knowledge in Python

·      High fluency in English

·      Availability of at 3-4 hours a day (flexible)

·      Prior experience/knowledge with tasting panels- an advantage!

·      The role is on a part-time basis
