We have an exciting opportunity to continue strengthening our product development pipeline with a new opening – Senior R&D (research and development) Project Management Specialist. You will be part of a collaborative cross-functional team and will be responsible for R&D project management aspects of a high priority product innovation program.

The Endoscopy Operating Unit has created a business out of disrupting the status quo in the detection, prevention, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and chronic diseases. We’ve done this by commercializing transformational technologies that improve patient management and standards of care, while increasing access to our innovations across the globe.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior R&D Project Management Specialist your responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Leads or leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes, and therapies.
• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and strategy goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and core team.
• Communicates with stakeholders and obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
• Provides stewardship of design control system and product development process.
  
  

Must Haves

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Practical knowledge of project management
• Requires a Bachelor's degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
