Mechanical Engineer for R&D department

Well-established global leader in state-of-the-art medical devices development and manufacturing based in Israel, is looking for highly motivated and creative Mechanical Engineer for R&D department .

Responsibilities

• Design new medical products as part of R&D department.
• Define devices' requirements and specifications based on multiple stakeholders' inputs – technical specifications, usability specifications, regulatory specifications.
• Prototype, build and improve designs utilizing clinical personnel feedback throughout design process.
• Work with wide variety of technologies – wide variety of machining options (5-axis CNC to Swiss-type lathing), 3D Printing, PIM/MIM, and many more technologies available in-house during products' early stages.
• Lead R&D projects from kickoff to mass production:
• Plan and perform design validation activities.
• Support regulatory activities – Validations, testing.
• Work in multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver market-ready product.
• Create and maintain R&D ation dictated by procedural development design control – DHF, RMR.
• Participate in production process flow setup.
• Work in well-regulated and standardized medical environment: ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 24971.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree – B.Sc. / M.Sc.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in R&D positions.
• Experience in manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Experience in medical devices industry – an advantage.
• Experience in formulating, planning, ing, and conducting tests.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – Hebrew and English.
• Hands-on approach.
