HUMAN was founded in 2012 in a Brooklyn sci-fi bookstore by Tamer Hassan, Michael Tiffany, Dan Kaminsky, and Ash Kalb. Our humble beginnings led to the creation of the Human Defense Platform, the backbone of all our products that safeguards enterprises from sophisticated bot attacks, fraud, and account abuse. Today we verify the humanity of more than 20 trillion interactions per week for some of the largest companies and internet platforms.

Our hacker roots still permeate everything we do. You will be a part of the HUMAN front line in our commitment to helping protect companies (and in turn, their customers) from both revenue and reputation risk caused by malicious bots. The HUMAN R&D team is pivotal to our mission. They are the ones uncovering and fighting bot operations like PARETO, ICEBUCKET, 3ve, and Methbot. HUMAN supports our R&D humans by strongly valuing deep work and flexibility. Additionally, this team is encouraged to participate in R&D Research Friday - a designated half day each week dedicated to trying new ideas and personal career development. You’ll be joining us at an exciting moment in the HUMAN story: we joined forces with PerimeterX in a market-changing merger, as well as recently acquired clean.io to enhance the Human Defense Platform. Together under the HUMAN brand, we will disrupt the economics of cybercrime. We hope you can join us in that mission.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems, processes and 24/7 real-time environment to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
• Manage our operations & core group, mostly located in Tel Aviv with employees in UK & US
• Be the owner of the maturity and stability of our trillion event/month of an infrastructure, cross the different pipelines and environments
• Modernize our globally distributed high scaled infrastructure
• Lead by personal example, but also mentor and educate toward technology edge and best practices
• Establish and maintain relationships with different departments within R&D and the organization
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
• Review security matters to ensure production security and compliance
• Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  
  

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in a field related to our industry
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or Engineering team lead
• Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
• Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including production, and employee management
• Hands-on experience as an infrastructure developer of a software engineer
• Hands-on experience with managing high-scale environments and real-time production in the operation fields.
• Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
• Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
• Background with FinOps and production security
