Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will lead the engineering aspects of product design and manufacturing processes, interacting with internal and external resources and work in an international, multidisciplinary, and multi-project environment.

The position reports to the Mechanical Team Leader.

Our miniature tibial neuromodulation (iTNM) device is implanted near the ankle in a minimally invasive outpatient procedure, allowing for therapy customization to enhance patient response. Role Description & Responsibilities

·      Lead projects for the design, testing and transfer to production of an active, neurostimulation implantable device and wearable control unit

·      Develop and execute R&D, DOE and engineering studies, V&V and support process validation

·      Manage local and international sub-contractors, consultants, and experts to overcome challenges in design and manufacturing as well as development and implementation of manufacturing technologies and improvements

·      Support stabilization of high-end manufacturing line including root-cause-analysis, tackling product non-conformities, and supporting various quality system processes such as CAPAs, NCRs and ECOs

·      Lead R&D investigations (MRBs, customer complaints)

·      Design, prototype and implement fixtures and production tools to support manufacturing

·      Responsible for design risk assessment and mitigation activities

·      Create production process documentation including work instructions, incoming inspections and in-process testing procedures

Qualifications

·      Sc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Biomedical Engineering

·      At least 5-7 years of hands-on R&D and/or manufacturing experience in a similar position in an implantable medical device company (long term implanted devices an advantage)

·      Experience in electro-mechanical design (including design with CAD tools)

·      In-depth technological understanding combined with an inherent strive for excellence

·      Experience in management of sub-contractors

·      Experience with complex root-cause-analysis and hands-on technical problem solving

·      Excellent verbal and written Hebrew and English (mother tongue level an advantage)

·      Self-starter, self-learner, and self-organizer

·      Possess a keen attention to detail

·      Excellent communicator and team player
